Gizmo's Adventure in Muck Land

Yesterday my brother and I took Gizmo out to a field close by us. Well the field was covered in water. It was just like walking in a swamp. Gizmo didn't seem to care though he had a blast. I'll let the pictures and video speak for themselves.

Introduction of my furry family

I figured the best way to start off this blog was to introduce everyone.
I'll start with my dogs.
Perca is my 9 year old German Shepherd. We found her as a stray when she was 12 weeks old after she had been thrown from a 5 story building which resulted in both of her back hips being broken and being in a wheelchair for most of her puppy months. She is now a very sweet girl but protective of her family. Now a days she has some arthritis which doesn't make her as active but she can't resist playing with everyone else when they start a game. She hates to be left out.

Shadow is my 7 year old German Shepherd. We adopted him from the shelter when he was a puppy. He has endless amounts of energy and is always on the move. He is a big sweetie and a complete goof. We were told when we first adopted him that the previous owners claimed he was part Lab and part Husky as well but we, our vet, and the shelter did not see any Lab or Husky in him so we are just calling him a German Shepherd as he most likely is a purebred.

Gizmo is my 5 year Brussels Griffon Toy Poodle mix. He came from the pet store from an adoption event. So he is a shelter dog. He is very sweet but also has a problem with fear aggression that we have been working on. He likes to sleep but also enjoys playing and going for walks so hes not completely lazy. 

Lola is a 3 year old Brussels Griffon Shih Tzu mix. She came from the same place as Gizmo did. She loves to play and seems to have nothing but energy all the time. She likes to take your keys and hide them from you. A  big sweetie.

Now for my cats.

Pebbles is the oldest at 11 years old. She loves the water and adores her mouse toys. If she hears the shower going off she runs into the bathroom and jumps in with you. Shes a huge sweetie but now a days spends a lot more time sleeping as shes older. She will still play but not as often as she used to.

Millie is 7 years old. She was abused by a previous owner and found on the streets and has digestive problems along with only 4-5 teeth. So shes very shy and skittish and spends most of her time in my room and only leaves to eat, drink, and use the bathroom. Although recently she has been coming out a bit more often. Shes a real sweetheart and just loves to sit by you.

Carmel is 4 years old and Max one of our other cats is his brother. He enjoys hanging out by the window and likes to watch everything that goes on outside. 

Max is like his brother Carmel 4 years old. He loves playing and would gladly play with his toys or with you all day long. 

Misty is 4 years old and her and April are both sisters. Misty loves to sit on your lap and would happily do so all day.

April is 4 years old like her sister Misty. She loves to play and will use anything as a toy. 

Waffles is 2 years old. He adores water and was a huge trouble maker when he was a kitten. He got into everything but has now mellowed out. 

Trouble is a year old. We found him as a stray when he was a kitten. Like his names hes a huge trouble maker and likes to keep everyone on their toes.

Sophie is 12 weeks old. Shes a real sweetie and likes to follow you around the house. 

                                       

Next is my birds.

Link and Zelda are both 3 year old Owl Finches. Link is laid back while Zelda is the wild one out of the two.

Next are my rabbits.

They are all 3 years old, Mini Rexes and siblings.

Dutchess is a huge cuddle bug and has even taken a nap right on your lap.

Clover loves to be with people and enjoys being cuddled.

Scamper enjoys being let out so he can run around the house.

Toby enjoys being outside and would stay in their outdoor pen(its has a top on it) all day long if he was able to. 

Then theres my pets who are no longer with us.

Spotty was a Dalmatian. We had to put him down to cancer at age 12 a month before Wolfie was put down. He had and I had the same birthday(same day, year, and month) and got him as an 8 week old puppy. He was a sweet boy who loved nothing more than attention, being with his family and playing around. As he got older though he did start going deaf but that didn't stop from being himself. He loved everyone unless you were a stranger until he warmed up to you.

Wolfie was our German Shepherd Rottweiler mix. We had to put him down at age 12 due to stomach cancer. We had him since he was 8 weeks old. He loved playing and getting attention and was very protective. 

Kay Kay was our female Syrian Hamster she lived to be 4 years old. Her favorite thing to do was run in her wheel.

Fluffy was our other Syrian Hamster she also lived to be 4 years old. Her favorite thing was playing in her ball.

Sammy was a  5 year old green and yellow Parakeet. He enjoyed just hanging out with you and loves to be up on my shoulder and play around with my hair. I've had him since he was a baby. He passed away in January of 2011 for unknown reasons. 

Cassie was our 3 year old white and blue Parakeet who passed away for reasons unknown in September of 2010. She was Sammy's friend. She was a wild little girl and loved flying around their room.
